ADM reported net income of $908 million for the fiscal second quarter of 2026, more than four times the $217 million recorded a year earlier. Earnings per share rose to $1.87 from $0.45, while adjusted earnings per share reached $1.84, nearly double the $0.93 reported in the same quarter of 2025.

For the six months, net income increased 139% to $1.22 billion. Earnings before interest and taxes totaled $1.09 billion for the quarter and $1.47 billion for the half, up 290% and 133%, respectively, year over year. Quarterly revenue was $22.68 billion, compared with $21.17 billion a year earlier; revenue for the year-to-date period increased 4.4%.

Agricultural Services and Oilseeds, which includes grain origination, merchandising and processing, led the results. The division’s operating profit rose 129% to $867 million. Within it, crushing operating profit increased by $330 million from the year-ago quarter to $363 million, which ADM attributed to improved processing margins, favorable biofuel conditions and higher utilization of its facilities.

Global oilseed processing volumes grew about 5% year over year. ADM said international demand for soybean meal remained strong, with Brazilian and U.S. exports at record levels. Agricultural Services operating profit climbed 159% to $293 million. In South America, the company cited the return to full operations at its grain export terminal in Barcarena, Pará, and higher soybean shipments as producers sold more of their crops.

The other divisions also posted gains. Operating profit increased 22% to $411 million in Carbohydrate Solutions, which includes corn and ethanol activities, and rose 51% to $172 million in Nutrition.

Following its first-half performance and outlook for the rest of the year, ADM raised its 2026 adjusted earnings-per-share forecast to a range of $5.15 to $5.60, from its previous range of $4.15 to $4.70.
