ANSA’s exhibition “Women of the Republic: Eighty Years of Achievements in ANSA Coverage, 1946–2026” is coming to the European Parliament in Brussels. First opened in Rome last May, the exhibition will be presented during the Parliament’s Gender Equality Week, with its opening event scheduled for November 4 at 2 p.m. in the Presidential Room of the Spaak building.

The event will be hosted by European Parliament Vice-President Pina Picierno and will include the participation of Parliament President Roberta Metsola and Vice-President Antonella Sberna. ANSA CEO Stefano De Alessandri and Claudia Segre, president and founder of the Global Thinking Foundation, are also set to speak.

The exhibition brings together 122 photographs documenting the stories of 135 women. Through ANSA’s coverage, it traces eight decades of Italian history and highlights changes and achievements in the country’s civic, cultural, sporting and institutional life. The Brussels edition will also feature a panel dedicated to women who have become symbols of European Union history.
