Arthur Fils will begin the Rolex Paris Masters with the highest ranking of his career. The 22-year-old Frenchman moved up one place to seventh in the ATP rankings published on Monday, November 2, with 3,525 points.

Fils reached the quarter-finals in Basel last week before retiring with an injury against Taylor Fritz. His rise also benefited from Felix Auger-Aliassime’s six-place drop to 13th.

Alexander Zverev is now officially the world No. 1, moving ahead of Jannik Sinner, who is out for the rest of the season. Zverev secured the top position after reaching the semi-finals in Vienna last week. Carlos Alcaraz, Ben Shelton and Daniil Medvedev complete the other players already qualified for the year-end Masters.

With the Paris tournament marking the final Masters 1000 event of the season, four places remain for the competition in Turin from November 15 to 22. Fils is among the players still competing for qualification, alongside Flavio Cobolli, Frances Tiafoe, Rafael Jodar, Alex de Minaur and Novak Djokovic.

In the latest Race to Turin standings, Fils is seventh with 3,535 points. Cobolli is sixth, while Tiafoe, Jodar, de Minaur and Djokovic occupy the next four positions.
