FC Barcelona has lifted the precautionary suspension of the Gol 1957 supporters’ section following a two-hour meeting with representatives of the four groups that make it up. The section is set to reopen for the team’s match against Aston Villa at Spotify Camp Nou.

Representatives of Almogàvers, Nostra Ensenya, Front 532 and Supporters Barça met club officials from its social, security, operations and legal departments. The sides reviewed the section’s rules and agreed to maintain closer dialogue to help prevent future disputes.

The groups committed to encouraging civic and respectful behaviour and preventing a repeat of the incidents that led to the section’s closure for the match against Alavés. Barcelona said it considers the supporters an important part of backing the team, but will closely monitor whether they honour their commitments.

The suspension followed a series of incidents during the clásico against Real Madrid, including insults directed at Cucurella and José Mourinho and objects thrown from the supporters’ section during celebrations of Kylian Mbappé’s second goal. A member of the crowd also struck Camavinga with a flag. The Mossos d’Esquadra identified and sanctioned the person involved in that incident.

The club warned that further incidents could bring additional financial penalties and put Spotify Camp Nou at risk of closure. The four groups have agreed to oversee their members’ conduct, while noting that the club and police are responsible for removing supporters from the stadium.
