Defending champions Bayern Munich will host second-division Hertha BSC in the DFB-Pokal round of 16 after the draw was made by Markus Gaugisch, coach of Germany's women's handball team, at the German Football Museum in Dortmund. Bayern will again play at home against a second-division club, while Hertha have also been unbeaten so far.

Six of the eight ties pit a Bundesliga club against a second-division opponent. The only meetings between two top-flight sides are Eintracht Frankfurt against Borussia Dortmund and Bayer Leverkusen against RB Leipzig.

The round of 16 matches will be played on Dec. 1 and 2. The quarterfinals are scheduled for Feb. 2-10, 2027, the semifinals for April 20-21, and the final for May 29, 2027, at Berlin's Olympiastadion.
