Belgium’s government is facing a crisis after days of deadlock within the centre-right Arizona coalition over the budget plan. Prime Minister Bart De Wever is travelling to meet King Philippe I and may submit his resignation.

According to Belgian media, the move could be De Wever’s final attempt to break the impasse before tomorrow at noon, the deadline for reaching an agreement on the budget. The king could also decide to accept the prime minister’s resignation today.
