Brazilian federal deputy André Janones of the Rede party will hold a meeting in Argentina on Monday, November 2, with Sergio Massa. Massa, formerly the Economy Minister under Alberto Fernández, is a presidential candidate who previously lost to Javier Milei.
Janones is recognized for establishing the "Lula Army," a digital communication strategy that played a significant role in supporting President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva's re-election campaign earlier this year. Following his victory on October 25, Lula publicly acknowledged Janones' contribution, describing him as a general who performed an exponential role in boosting troop morale daily.
According to the deputy's team, the upcoming agenda aims to promote the exchange of experiences and expand dialogue between political leaderships in Brazil and Argentina. Massa is currently positioning himself to become the Peronist candidate for the Argentine presidential elections scheduled for October 2027. The opposition candidacy race is currently divided between Massa and Axel Kicillof, the governor of Buenos Aires province.
In his post-victory speech, Lula also emphasized a shift in governance style, promising increased public participation in decision-making processes and a greater role for digital communication.
