Carolina Dieckmmann, 48, became emotional while watching Sol de Maria, 10, sing a hit by her grandmother Preta Gil at Rock the Mountain on Saturday (31) in Itaipava, in Rio de Janeiro’s mountainous region. Sol de Maria performed “Sinais de Fogo” alongside her father, Francisco Gil.
In social media posts, Dieckmmann was seen crying as she watched the performance. She also shared a photo with Sol de Maria, Francisco Gil’s daughter with model Laura Fernandez.
Dieckmmann and Preta Gil were friends for decades. The singer died in July 2025 from complications of colorectal cancer. Since Gil’s death, Dieckmmann has paid tribute to her friend on social media and remained close to the Gil family.
