Cristiano Ronaldo, Bruno Fernandes, Vitinha and Nuno Mendes have been included among the 26 nominees for the 2026 FIFPro Men's World 11, the International Federation of Professional Footballers' Associations announced on Monday.
The list was decided through votes cast by 19,806 players from unions affiliated with FIFPro. Nuno Mendes and Vitinha, both of Paris Saint-Germain, are nominated in defence and midfield respectively. Manchester United attacking midfielder Bruno Fernandes and Al Nassr forward Cristiano Ronaldo complete the Portuguese representation.
The goalkeeper nominees are Thibaut Courtois of Real Madrid, Emiliano Martínez of Aston Villa and Chelsea, and Arsenal's David Raya. Nuno Mendes is competing for a defensive place alongside PSG teammate Hakimi, Pau Cubarsí, Marc Cucurella, Virgil van Dijk, Dayot Upamecano, Gabriel Magalhães and William Saliba.
Vitinha and Bruno Fernandes are among the midfield options with Jude Bellingham, Enzo Fernández, Pedri, Declan Rice and Rodri. Cristiano Ronaldo is nominated alongside Harry Kane, Michael Olise, Erling Haaland, Khvicha Kvaratskhelia, Kylian Mbappé, Lionel Messi and Lamine Yamal for the attacking positions.
The nominees were selected based on performances between August 4, 2025 and July 19, 2026. To be eligible, players had to appear in at least 30 official matches during that period.
The 11 players receiving the most votes in their respective positions will form the Men's World 11. FIFPro is scheduled to reveal the final team on November 9 through its digital platforms.
