Air quality in Delhi remained in the “very poor” category on Tuesday, with the average Air Quality Index (AQI) at 332 in the morning, local media reported, citing the Press Trust of India (PTI). An AQI above 300 falls into the very poor range.

The pollution level crossed 300 on Monday, prompting authorities to impose Level 2 restrictions under the Graded Response Action Plan (GRAP). Measures include spraying roads to help limit dust in the air.

Central Pollution Control Board readings reported by PTI showed “severe” air quality, with an AQI above 400, at eight monitoring stations on Tuesday morning. Thirty-two stations recorded very poor levels above 300, 15 recorded “poor” levels above 200, and two showed “moderate” levels above 100.
