A four-month-old baby was thrown onto the road after an app-based ride-hailing car overturned in Camboriú, in the northern coast of Santa Catarina, Brazil, on Sunday afternoon. The child’s mother and the driver were also injured, according to the Military Police.
The mother told officers that the baby was sitting on her lap when the car hit the curb of the central median. The impact caused the vehicle to overturn and threw the child through the window onto the asphalt.
The Fire Department assisted all three victims and transported them to the Ruth Cardoso Municipal Hospital in nearby Balneário Camboriú. Their health conditions were not immediately available.
The driver said he was traveling toward the city center when he struck the curb, causing the vehicle to overturn. A breathalyzer test returned a negative result for alcohol consumption.
