Iranian Parliament Speaker Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf said the message from Americans is “no to war,” adding that Iran supports it. He made the remarks in a post on X, according to ANSA.
Ghalibaf, who is also Iran’s chief negotiator in talks with the United States, said Americans had reached that position either out of conscience or because of the cost of living.
He warned that if the US government ignored its public’s wishes, he said Iran’s own “no” would be accompanied by a nightmare. Ghalibaf accused Washington of potentially acting to serve international patrons and those exerting pressure.
