The chairman of Israel's Central Elections Committee, Judge Noam Solberg, said the elections for the 26th Knesset were held regularly and that the results reflect the will of voters, according to a video statement issued on Sunday.
Solberg made the remarks alongside Shin Bet chief David Zini and Attorney General Gali Baharav-Miara. The statement addressed investigations into alleged foreign interference aimed at encouraging turnout among Arab voters.
"Our position is that, even if the suspicions were confirmed, this does not undermine the correctness of the elections nor the results as a whole," Solberg said, adding that any irregularities are subject to examination.
The elections committee head stressed that the vote itself was conducted properly and that the outcome stands, while the review of the suspected irregularities continues.
