Israel’s Electoral Commission said Wednesday that it had found no evidence of fraud affecting the country’s latest parliamentary election. The announcement came hours before the official results were due to be published.

The commission said it reviewed complaints filed by political parties and conducted checks. It found no irregularities or evidence that the election’s integrity had been compromised or that the results had been altered, according to a statement.

The result is contested by the camp of outgoing Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu. The election did not produce a majority.
