A digital campaign strategy created by Brazilian deputy André Janones for the re-election of President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva has drawn interest from parties abroad, with analogous WhatsApp channels emerging in France, Argentina and Spain, according to ANSA.
Janones has been invited by Mexican President Claudia Sheinbaum and Spanish Prime Minister Pedro Sánchez to present his model, the report said.
Spanish politician Eduardo Rubiño described the approach's novelty as turning citizens into agents who promote the campaign, instructing them on how to challenge the normal algorithms of social networks.
In Brazil, the deputy's institutional future remains uncertain. Janones recently met the president to define his role in the new mandate and, on the prospect of leading a ministry, said he wanted to "understand where I can add the most."
The platform currently has 10 million subscribers and is used to spread the executive's results, inviting the base not to give space to opponents and to focus on the government's actions, such as the recent 6.5% increase recorded in the supermarket sector.
