Jordan Bardella’s “Gouverner,” published on Wednesday, November 4, presents the Rassemblement national leader’s vision for France in its final 100 pages. The book advances a liberal and security-focused programme, including promises of deregulation and tax cuts aimed at business circles, followed by a critique of the social state. The proposals largely repeat positions associated with the RN rather than setting out a new direction.
The 288-page book is Bardella’s third in three years, following “Ce que je cherche” (2024) and “Ce que veulent les Français” (2025). It moves from an account of the Battle of Verdun to portraits of prime ministers under Emmanuel Macron, then to reflections on Bardella’s first six months of 2026 before turning to its programme section, titled “La France que nous vous devons.”
The book gives little indication of Bardella’s governing method or who might join him in government. Marine Le Pen, his political mentor, features again after being absent from his second book. Sarah Knafo and Éric Zemmour are sharply criticised, a treatment that makes future cooperation between them appear unlikely.
