Jordan Bardella’s third book, Gouverner, is due to be published Thursday by Éditions Fayard. The 283-page essay presents both the outlook of a politician who had been preparing to run for president and that of a potential future prime minister under Marine Le Pen, according to the account of the book’s contents.
Bardella, president of the National Rally (RN), said in an interview on TF1 that he wanted to take French readers along the party’s path to power, explain its identity and values, and set out what it would do. The book also attempts to outline what France might look like under a government led by Le Pen.
The title’s focus on governing contrasts with Bardella’s apparent expectation that he would be the presidential candidate. Its varied approach reflects that change in political circumstances, as he turns to describing the RN’s plans and its route to power.
