A judge on Sunday, 1 November, ordered communicated pretrial detention without bail for the suspected perpetrator of a stabbing in Tordehumos (Valladolid) that left one person dead and two seriously injured on Saturday, the Guardia Civil said. The suspect was brought before the court that day.
The man, of Indian origin, was arrested on Saturday afternoon near the sports centre in Villabrágima after a search lasting several hours. He is suspected of being the author of a brawl at a hostel in Tordehumos. The incident left one person dead and two injured, also of Indian origin.
According to the Government Subdelegation, the events occurred inside the lodging, which had been rented by a group of workers from a company. One of the tenants, the man now detained, stabbed three colleagues during an argument.
Until Saturday's brawl, the workers had not been involved in previous incidents and no problems of coexistence with the residents of the locality had been recorded.
