Junno Andrade, 63, has revealed the enthusiastic reaction of his partner, Xuxa Meneghel, following the announcement that their daughter Sasha is pregnant. The news emerged after Sasha, 29, confirmed she is expecting her first child with her husband, singer João Lucas, 27.
During an appearance on the "Dança dos Famosos" segment of the program "Domingão com Huck," Andrade described the atmosphere at home as wonderful. He stated that Xuxa is already acting like a doting grandmother and promised that the family will be there to spoil the future grandchild.
Host Luciano Huck noted that he had been kept in the dark about the pregnancy despite traveling with Xuxa recently. Huck explained that during a trip to São Paulo last week, they spent three hours talking, during which Xuxa frequently expressed her strong desire for Sasha to have a child. He concluded that she must have known about the pregnancy all along but chose not to tell him.
Andrade suggested that the presenter may have been aware of the news for several days prior. This contrasts with a recent performance on the "Último Voo da Nave" tour, which visited cities including São Paulo and Rio de Janeiro, where Xuxa publicly expressed her wish to become a grandmother without anyone else knowing about the pregnancy at that time.
Sasha, who is the daughter of Xuxa and Luciano Szafir, began dating João Lucas in April 2020. The couple got engaged in November of that year and married in a civil ceremony in May 2021. They subsequently celebrated their union with an intimate party at Xuxa's home in Angra dos Reis, Rio de Janeiro.
