La Vanguardia will hold the seventh edition of its Moveo Awards in Madrid on November 17. The ceremony, sponsored by MAPFRE and Moeve, brings together figures from the automotive and mobility industries as the sector navigates its transition toward electrification and other structural changes.

The awards recognize companies and individuals across five categories: Sustainability, Innovation, Internationalization, People of the Year and Car of the Year. Internationalization is new to this year’s awards and will honor initiatives aimed at improving mobility beyond Spain.

Ten models are shortlisted for the 2026 Car of the Year award: Cupra Raval, DS Nº7, Ebro s900, Hyundai Ioniq 3, Kia EV2, Leapmotor B05, Renault Clio, Skoda Epiq, Volkswagen ID. Polo and Volvo EX60. Readers’ votes account for 40% of the result, with the remaining 60% decided by a jury of La Vanguardia motoring experts. Voting closed on October 26.

The awards were established in 2020 as a meeting point for automakers, executives and organizations involved in mobility. This year’s ceremony takes place amid changes in the European auto industry, including manufacturers’ efforts to adapt to electrification and a recent EU-China agreement to limit imports of Chinese hybrid and plug-in hybrid vehicles.
