A Learjet crashed in Palm Beach County, South Florida, on Sunday, killing all nine people on board, US authorities said. The aircraft had departed from Austin, Texas, and was heading to the Bahamas.
Transportation Secretary Sean Duffy described the crash in a statement as a tragedy. The identities of those aboard had not been released.
Images showed wreckage in the middle of an avenue in Palm Beach. The area was closed as rescue crews arrived. Mar-a-Lago, President Donald Trump’s vacation residence, is also in Palm Beach County.
