Medieval jousting returned to London in an unusual modern form on Saturday, as participants dressed as knights charged at one another on electric bikes in front of hundreds of spectators at London Fields.
The Halloween event replaced traditional horses with battery-powered Lime bikes. Participants carried lances and attempted to knock their opponents from their bikes while the crowd cheered the winners.
The spectacle included elaborate medieval-themed costumes, dancing and entrances accompanied by rock music. Spectators also saluted the event’s self-proclaimed king, Tommy Moore.
