Nova SBE is launching the second edition of its "Finanças para Todos Empresas" program, a financial literacy Initiative designed for employees of private sector companies with four or more workers. The program is open to businesses across all activity sectors within the country and aims to help participants master fundamental concepts related to money, inflation, interest rates, investment processes, and term deposits.
The training is entirely free and takes place during working hours. While registration must be handled by the companies themselves, the direct beneficiaries are the employees. A key advantage of the initiative is that it counts as 10 hours of certified training toward the mandatory 40 annual hours of continuous professional development that companies are legally required to provide their staff.
The program offers both online and in-person formats. The schedule for face-to-face sessions in 2027 has already been defined nationwide, with registrations currently open on a first-come, first-served basis due to limited availability. The initiative comes amid rising financial pressures, such as increasing mortgage payments linked to the Euribor rate, highlighting the growing need for workers to understand real versus nominal values and manage personal budgets effectively.
