Novo Bank confirmed on Monday that it exceeded all minimum prudential requirements imposed by the European Central Bank (ECB) for 2027 as of June. According to a note sent to the market, these standards regarding own funds and risk management are designed to ensure the financial solidity of banks, thereby protecting clients and maintaining stability within the European system.

In a communication to the Portuguese Securities Market Commission (CMVM), the bank detailed its capital ratios as of June 30, 2026. The institution reported exceeding the minimum requirements for Common Equity Tier 1 (CET 1), Tier 1, and Solvency by significant margins of 9.3 percentage points, 7.4 percentage points, and 7.7 percentage points, respectively. These figures highlight the bank's robust solvability position.

The total minimum prudential requirements consist of several specific components: 8% for Pillar 1 (P1), 2.35% for the Pillar 2 Requirement (P2R), and 2.50% for the Capital Conservation Buffer (CCB). Additionally, the mandates include a 0.5% Other Systemically Important Institution Buffer (O-SII), a 0.76% Countercyclical Capital Buffer (CCyB), and a 0.30% Systemic Risk Buffer (SyB).
