Singer and composer Dudu Nobre had his car stolen on Sunday night, November 1, at the entrance of Clube Renascença in the Andaraí neighborhood of Rio de Janeiro's North Zone. The incident occurred immediately after Nobre finished performing a samba show at the venue.
According to the artist, he was not inside the vehicle when the crime took place. While Nobre was singing, armed men on a motorcycle approached the driver who was waiting at the club's entrance. The assailants subdued the driver and drove away with the car and its contents. Witnesses present at the scene reported that local taxi drivers noticed the approaching suspects and shouted warnings to alert others about the crime, but the attackers proceeded with the robbery regardless.
Following the theft, Nobre took a taxi and used GPS tracking to locate his vehicle. He found the car abandoned on a nearby street shortly after it was taken. Both the singer and the driver remained unharmed during the entire ordeal.
