The changes to schedules and routes of 19 bus lines in Taubaté took effect on Sunday, Nov. 1, according to the information released. The restructuring includes adjustments during periods with lower passenger demand and expanded itineraries to serve residents of housing developments.

The city government said morning and afternoon peak-hour schedules were maintained. It said the changes were defined after a survey by the Municipal Urban Mobility Secretariat, which identified low demand at certain times of the day.

Among the changes, Line 22 now offers a route option to Mirante do Pôr do Sol in Quiririm. Line 25 had its route expanded to serve passengers from Residencial Mirante.

The city also listed adjustments to Line 1, which runs between Rodoviária Velha and Estoril, with schedule changes, and Line 16, from Eco-Secap to Rodoviária Velha, which had schedule changes and service to Residencial Independência. Other lines also had schedule adjustments under the restructuring, the city said.

The changes are restricted to urban lines, according to the city government. Rural lines were not affected.
