A 17-year-old girl who went missing from Garden City, Utah, last year has been found in Oregon, and a 39-year-old man has been arrested, authorities said. The teenager was recovered on Sunday after a search involving Oregon law enforcement, the FBI’s Salt Lake City field office and the Rich County Sheriff’s Office in Utah.

The FBI said the man was taken into custody without incident. Investigators from the bureau and the sheriff’s office had pursued leads across the United States and internationally for more than a year. Authorities have not shared further details about the disappearance or recovery, citing the ongoing investigation.

FBI Director Kash Patel said Oregon police brought the missing teenager to safety based on information from the Salt Lake City field office. He also warned that the FBI and its partners were targeting online groups that exploit children and teenagers.

Local reports have identified the girl as Kylie Arellano, who was last seen by her family on May 29, 2025. Her mother, Stephanie Coleman, wrote on a Facebook page dedicated to the search that her daughter had been found safe.
