The Brazilian Agency for Support to the Management of the Unified Health System (AgSUS) has opened registrations on Thursday, November 5, for a selection process aimed at professionals who will work in indigenous health in the state of Amazonas. The opportunities are directed toward the Alto Rio Solimões Special Indigenous Sanitary District (DSEI), headquartered in Tabatinga, and include positions requiring various levels of education.
The registration process is free and must be completed online by Sunday, November 9. The selection covers 26 different functions across fundamental, secondary, technical, and higher education levels. While the process includes both immediate hiring and the creation of a reserve list, immediate vacancies are specifically available for architects and urban planners, nurses, and nursing technicians. All other positions will be filled through the formation of a reserve list.
Salaries for the selected professionals vary between R$ 2,200 and R$ 17,700, depending on the specific role and work schedule. The available functions range from endemic disease control agents and administrative assistants to specialized roles such as doctors, dentists, pharmacists, engineers, psychologists, and nutritionists. Candidates must possess the required education for their chosen function and prove at least six months of professional experience in the relevant area. Higher-level positions require a corresponding degree, and some professions also mandate registration with the respective professional council.
To participate, applicants must access the AgSUS selection platform to fill out an electronic form with personal data, the desired function, and information regarding their education and professional experience. Supporting documents must be submitted at the time of registration; adding or replacing documents later is not permitted, except in specific cases regarding proof of indigenous ethnic belonging as outlined in the official notice. Each candidate is allowed only one application per notice and can compete for a single function, with simultaneous participation in selections for different DSEIs prohibited.
Selected professionals will work in indigenous health units within the DSEI Alto Rio Solimões, including base poles, Indigenous Health Houses (CASAIs), health units, and administrative offices. The specific assignment will be defined based on service needs. It is important to note that this selection is not a public civil service exam; approved professionals will be hired under the Consolidation of Labor Laws (CLT). Contracts begin with an experience period of up to 90 days and may be converted into indefinite-term contracts based on performance evaluation, subject to the existence of vacancies and AgSUS needs.
