Barcelona secured an impressive victory over Unicaja at the Martín Carpena after a closely contested Liga Endesa game. The Catalan side had to cope with a depleted frontcourt and played more than half the match without a natural center, with Nebo as the only available option in the rotation because of injuries.

Despite those difficulties, Barça maintained its competitive edge and overcame a late scare involving Justin Robinson, who appeared to take a knock to his knee near the end of the game. The injury ultimately did not seem serious.

Unicaja led 89-87, but Barcelona produced a decisive 0-5 run in just 30 seconds. Brizuela put the visitors ahead with a key three-pointer after an offensive rebound by Nebo, before Punter added two free throws to complete the turnaround.

Parra was Barcelona’s leading performer with 17 points, repeatedly stepping up during the most difficult moments to keep his team in contention. The result allows Barça to remain firmly involved in the Liga Endesa race after a demanding away game.

The other Catalan teams had a difficult day. Asisa Joventut lost 78-81 to Surne Bilbao at the Olímpic, despite Nico Laprovittola’s 22 points. The game was decided by the final play.

Kids&Us Manresa also suffered a heavy defeat, falling 106-83 at Kosner Baskonia. The result leaves Manresa still searching for its first Liga Endesa win after six rounds, while Baskonia’s new coach, Perasovic, claimed his first victory in charge.
