Mossos d'Esquadra are investigating an alleged assault involving a VTC driver and a taxi driver at Barcelona-El Prat airport. The incident took place shortly before midnight at Terminal 1, according to the initial information available.
The dispute reportedly began when the taxi driver challenged the VTC driver over allegedly lacking permission to solicit passengers or operate in that area. The confrontation escalated before the VTC driver allegedly punched the taxi driver in the face, causing him to fall to the ground.
The taxi driver required medical attention for the impact and for an ankle injury sustained in the fall. He later filed a complaint with the Mossos d'Esquadra for an alleged offense of bodily harm.
Police have identified the alleged aggressor, who is awaiting a summons to appear at a police station and give a statement, according to the Catalan police.
