The Brazilian Air Force (FAB) will host its Portões Abertos 2026 open day at Boa Vista Air Base on Sunday, Nov. 8, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. The free event will include aircraft displays, military vehicle rides, live music and community services.

Visitors can see FAB aircraft and helicopters, military equipment and vehicles, and take rides in Brazilian Army tanker trucks. The program will also feature demonstrations by military working dogs, classic cars and performances by local artists, alongside food stalls and social initiatives.

People wishing to enter a draw for a scenic flight must bring 1 kilogram of non-perishable food. Flights will use a FAB Caravan C-98 aircraft, and participants can register through a QR code available at the event.

The base will admit people with disabilities from 8 a.m., an hour before general entry. Visitors must show documentation confirming their condition. Activities adapted for children with autism spectrum disorder will be available with support from a psychology professional.

Boa Vista Air Base is at 2,990 Rua Valdemar Bastos de Oliveira, in the Aeroporto neighborhood in the city’s northern area.
