The investigation into Flavio Bolsonaro’s reported escape from Brazil to the United States has expanded to include an alleged private flight to Argentina and the possible involvement of a former Israeli intelligence agent, according to Brazilian media reports.

The Liberal Party candidate is said to have flown directly to Argentina on a private aircraft owned by his friend Willer Tomaz, a lawyer who is also under investigation for money laundering and is reportedly a fugitive in the United States.

According to this account, Bolsonaro arrived at San Fernando airport, near Buenos Aires, on the morning of the 27th without his family. He allegedly reunited with his wife and children in Puerto Iguazú before continuing the journey to the United States.

Globo TV reported that investigators are also examining whether a former Israeli intelligence agent was part of the group accompanying the Bolsonaro family at the Argentina-Brazil border. The former agent allegedly travelled in one of two vans operated by the Brazilian company Dallas Turismo.

The vehicles crossed the border together with a lawyer for Jair Bolsonaro, Flavio Bolsonaro’s father, according to the reports. The claims remain under investigation.
