Rail services on the Minho line were interrupted on Monday between Nine, in Vila Nova de Famalicão, and Viana do Castelo because of a problem with the overhead catenary system, Infraestruturas de Portugal (IP) said.

An IP source told Lusa at around 9:30 a.m. that the issue was already being repaired, but could not say how long it would take to restore services.

CP — Comboios de Portugal confirmed on social media that rail services between Nine and Viana do Castelo had been suspended due to an incident on the line.
