Palmas will hold two “D Days” for multivaccination on November 7 and 13, the Municipal Health Secretariat (Semus) has confirmed. The campaigns aim to bring vaccination records up to date and increase coverage across the city.
On Saturday, November 7, vaccination will be available to the general public at nine Family Health Units (USFs). On Friday, November 13, teams will work at Municipal Early Childhood Education Centers (Cmeis), focusing on children and teenagers. The school-based campaign is intended to help families update vaccination documents required during the enrollment period. The city has not yet announced the hours or guidance for the Cmei vaccinations.
The drives will target people who are behind on their doses. Available vaccines include those for polio, measles, mumps and rubella (MMR), yellow fever, hepatitis, meningitis and HPV, among others. Health teams will check each person’s vaccination record and determine which doses are needed based on age and vaccination history.
The November 7 locations are USF Arne 64 (508 Norte); USF Deise de Fátima – Arse 13 (108 Sul); USF Francisco Júnior – Arso 41 (403 Sul); USF Satilo Alves – Arso 111 (1103 Sul); USF Valéria Martins – Arse 122 (1206 Sul); USF Taquari, in Jardim Taquari; USF Laurides Milhomem, in Jardim Aureny III; USF Eugênio Pinheiro, in Jardim Aureny I; and USF José Hermes, in Setor Sul.
