A judge has ordered the provisional detention without bail of a 21-year-old man arrested on Saturday in Cabrera d’Anoia, Barcelona, over his alleged connection to Blocus. The court identified indications of public disorder offences and membership of a criminal organisation.

According to the Mossos d’Esquadra, the suspect helped coordinate vandalism through a WhatsApp group and encouraged participation by distributing posters on TikTok. Investigators say he was one of the group’s administrators and played an active role in promoting its activity.

The Mossos and the Spanish National Police also announced the arrest on Monday of two minors, aged 14 and 17, in the Maresme and Bages counties. The girls are allegedly linked to the disturbances that took place in Barcelona on October 24 and are accused of administering communication groups created to coordinate participants in the looting.

Investigators also believe the minors promoted access to those groups by sharing posters on social media. The joint investigation is being conducted under the coordination of the Juvenile Section of the Barcelona Provincial Prosecutor’s Office to establish the responsibilities of those allegedly involved in planning, coordinating and publicising the related calls to action.

The two arrests bring the number of people detained in Catalonia in connection with the Barcelona disturbances to six. The unrest resulted in 133 arrests. Three of the six detainees have been remanded in custody, while the others face precautionary measures, including bans on attending protests.

Police have also made around ten arrests outside Catalonia. Two people were arrested in Fuengirola, Málaga, on Sunday, adding to the detention of seven young people in Valencia, Bilbao, Málaga and Fuengirola over their alleged links to the youth movement.
