The city government of Rio das Ostras has delivered new vehicles to its Department of Public Safety, Traffic and Public Order, aiming to strengthen the department’s operational capacity and support its services to residents.

Department secretary Carlos Menegasi said the vehicles would improve working conditions for officers and help with public safety, urban order and mobility operations. He said they would support field activities, inspections and traffic management in response to the city’s needs.

The municipality also delivered five vehicles to its Department of Public Transport, Accessibility and Mobility: three vans and two sedan cars. The vans will be shared among municipal departments as needed, including for transporting patients to hemodialysis appointments in Rio de Janeiro or moving materials. The sedans will be used for transport inspections across Rio das Ostras.
