Matthieu Perraut, skipper of the Ocean Fifty yacht Elvest, capsized on Tuesday evening while racing in the Route du Rhum, about 400 miles north of the Azores, according to the race organisers.
Perraut immediately contacted race control. He was in regular contact with the organisers and his technical team, and was reported to be well while awaiting assistance.
