Three wagons collided with a Renfe Mercancías locomotive in Martorell, Barcelona, on Tuesday. The locomotive’s driver was not injured but was taken to a medical centre in line with the protocol for such incidents.
The collision occurred on a private siding operated by Cargill and connected to the railway network. The wagons left the siding and reached a locomotive on the REFIG line, part of Spain’s railway network of general interest.
Renfe said the incident did not affect passenger services on the Rodalies network.
