Nearly nine months after the launch of an Israeli-American operation in Iran, Donald Trump is threatening to resume the offensive after the United States midterm elections scheduled for Tuesday, November 3. Iran has warned that any new American attack would trigger an “immediate response.”

The possibility of renewed military action is emerging despite domestic criticism of Trump’s handling of the conflict. Many Americans accuse the president of having started the war and question the consequences it has had for prices.

The renewed focus on Iran is examined by Sébastien Boussois, a political science expert and director of the European Geopolitical Institute, associated with Cnam Paris. Boussois is also the author of “Donald Trump, retour vers le futur,” published by Mareuil.
