Vincent Lévita, president of the investment fund InfraVia, has issued a warning to France's future leaders regarding the necessity of dispelling investor doubts about the nation's economic reliability. Speaking in an interview with Le Figaro, Lévita highlighted that purchasing power and competitiveness for the year 2040 are being determined by actions taken today.
The discussion arose in the context of the riots on October 17, which have already caused a decline in consumption and tourism. When asked about potential further repercussions on the real economy, Lévita noted that a period of uncertainty spanning financial, economic, and social fronts has opened up until the next elections. He confirmed that these events will likely have consequences over the next six months, though he stated it remains uncertain whether they will produce heavy long-term effects on tomorrow's economy.
Lévita emphasized that his firm focuses on investing in long-term assets and trends, specifically infrastructure, critical metals, and technology. While short-term events cannot be ignored when they crystallize, he argued that the horizon must not be forgotten because the short term of the future is prepared today. He stressed that future leaders must address these risks to ensure the country remains attractive for long-term investment.
