Rio das Ostras is set to host the VI Festival de Covers from November 6 to 8 at Lagoa do Iriry, presenting three days of live music dedicated to reinterpreting the works of major national and international artists. The event offers free admission and features a diverse lineup spanning various generations and musical styles. In addition to the performances, the festival will organize the collection of non-perishable food items for donation to people in vulnerable situations, while attendees can also enjoy a large food court.

The program highlights several specific tribute projects, including Amy Reggaehouse, which pays homage to Amy Winehouse, and the band Fever, performing hits by Aerosmith. The lineup also features Ciência de Chico, dedicated to Chico Science and Nação Zumbi as key figures of the manguebeat movement, alongside singer Valério Araújo, who will interpret songs marking the career of Cazuza. Other scheduled acts include Equalize with a tribute to Pitty, Black Circle performing Pearl Jam's repertoire, Durden covering Arctic Monkeys, Markyze honoring Charlie Brown Jr., and MKZ with Igor Carvalho presenting an O Rappa tribute.

The festival has established itself as a significant cultural and economic force for the municipality. Previous editions have attracted over 300,000 attendees, featured more than 70 bands, and generated over 4 million reais in local economic activity per edition, benefiting sectors such as commerce, hospitality, and the creative economy. Beyond celebrating established musical references, the initiative aims to provide visibility for local artists and expand performance opportunities for musicians specializing in tribute acts.

The schedule begins on Friday, November 6, at 18:00 with a DJ set, followed by Equalize at 20:00 and Black Circle closing the night at 22:30. Saturday's events start at 13:00 with Durden, continuing through Markyze, MKZ and Igor Carvalho, Rockstreet Boys performing boy band hits, Fever, and concluding with Amy Reggaehouse at 22:30. The festival concludes on Sunday, November 8, with Cida Garcia interpreting Alcione's songs at 15:00, Ciência de Chico at 17:00, Luan Schuenckel presenting a special for Lulu Santos at 19:00, and Valério Araújo closing the event at 21:00.

The VI Festival de Covers is organized by the Rio das Ostras Culture Foundation in co-realization with the Association of Architects and Engineers of Rio das Ostras. Production is handled by TT Produções e Eventos, with institutional support from the Rio das Ostras City Hall, the Municipal Chamber, Experimente Rio das Ostras, and SAAE.
